Renovating existing office space into a lecture theatre and administration space for The Retirement Planning Council, a leading service provider that offers lectures, workshops and advice for clients seeking to transition between work and retirement.
The main concept was to provide a clear idea of threshold and circulation to the new accommodation for a core staff and off of clients. Oak seats in the reception and oak surrounds act as markers of boundaries between public and private, whilst also framing a public route.
The window between the private office and public entrance, allows subtle overview between the two spaces and allowing more natural light to penetrate to the public lobby.
